In Brief:
A sewer pipe, installed from the South side and below the CN tunel, was to be connected with a man-hole for access purpose. However due to running Quadra Sand, the excavation to enable the manhole installation will be very difficult. Jet-Grouting was chosen to provide a temporary structural cutoff wall to permit the excavation.
