Due to an evolving construction market, it became apparent that fewer sites consisting of dense soils remained within the Lower Mainland and a demand for a safe alternative to the standard shotcrete shoring system was required to complete excavations within the sites with soils consisting of fills, clays and wet running sands. In early 2004, Matcon commenced the lengthy process of on-site testing and later the purchasing of equipment and training of our forces to conduct Jet Grouting.
In two years several applications of Jet-Grouting have been applied as:
- Shoring
- Underpinnig
- Cut-off wall
- Piling and soil improvement
